Session 1: Python Basics & Setup
Objective: Get comfortable with Python syntax, working in Jupyter Notebook, and basic
programming concepts.
Introduction to Python for Data Science
Setting Up the Environment: Installing Anaconda, Jupyter Notebook basics
Python Data Types & Variables: Integers, Floats, Strings, Lists, Tuples, Dictionaries
Operators & Control Flow: Conditional statements (if-else), Loops (for, while)
Functions & Lambda Functions: Writing reusable functions for data processing
Hands-on Exercises: ✅ Writing basic Python scripts
✅ Using loops and conditions
✅ Creating simple functions
Session 2: Working with NumPy
Objective: Learn to manipulate numerical data efficiently using NumPy arrays.
Introduction to NumPy
Creating NumPy Arrays: array(), zeros(), ones(), arange(), linspace()
Indexing & Slicing: Accessing elements, slicing subarrays
Mathematical & Statistical Operations: sum(), mean(), std(), var()
Broadcasting & Vectorized Operations: Applying operations on entire arrays efficiently
Hands-on Exercises: ✅ Creating and manipulating arrays
✅ Performing mathematical computations on datasets
Session 3: Data Analysis with Pandas
Objective: Understand how to manipulate tabular data using Pandas.
Introduction to Pandas
Creating & Loading DataFrames: pd.DataFrame(), read_csv(), read_excel()
Exploring Data: head(), info(), describe(), shape, columns●
Data Cleaning & Preprocessing: Handling missing values (dropna(), fillna()),
changing data types
Filtering & Sorting Data: query(), sort_values(), groupby(), apply()
Merging & Concatenating DataFrames: merge(), concat()
Hands-on Exercises: ✅ Loading a dataset and exploring it
✅ Cleaning missing values and transforming data
Break (15 mins)
A short break to refresh.
Session 4: Data Visualization with Matplotlib & Seaborn
Objective: Learn to visualize data and extract insights.
Introduction to Data Visualization
Matplotlib Basics: plot(), scatter(), bar(), hist()
Seaborn for Statistical Graphics: boxplot(), pairplot(), heatmap()
Customizing Plots: Titles, labels, legends, figure sizes
Hands-on Exercises: ✅ Creating various plots for a dataset
✅ Customizing visualizations
Session 5: Hands-on Data Science Project
Objective: Apply everything learned to analyze a real-world dataset.
Dataset Selection: Working with a dataset (e.g., Titanic, COVID-19, Sales data)
Data Cleaning: Handling missing values, feature selection
Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA): Summary statistics, correlations
Data Visualization: Creating meaningful charts to derive insights
Hands-on Activities: ✅ Perform data cleaning
✅ Generate visualizations and report insights


**NOTE: LAPTOP IS MANDATORY, SINCE HANDS-ON SESSIONS NEEDS PROGRAMMING

*All Certificates will be issued only by TOP ENGINEERS. Certificates will be given only at the end of the workshop.
*Workshops will be delivered by officials of TOP ENGINEERS & and its Associates.
* Workshop is Open to all Engineering disciplines, Arts and Science and Interested.
* Only those candidates who have paid their registration fee for workshop or who had received a valid confirmation mail to join the workshop is only allowed to attend the workshop. Parents/Relatives/Friends and others will not be allowed to sit inside the workshop.
* Kindly bring your college id card along with a photocopy of your pay slip or ticket details in mobile.
* Seats are filled on "first come & first serve" basis. No on the spot payment is allowed.
*Session timings – 9.30 AM to 4.30 PM (Lunch Break -12.30 noon to 1.00 PM).
* Laptops, pen drive and data card or mobile with net connection are compulsory and we request you to bring the laptop with full power backup.If your coming in groups you can share laptops with your friends.
* Lunch (only veg) and Tea will be provided
* Theory vs. Practice Ratio for Workshops: 50% theory 50% Practical. There will be No competition after the workshop.
*Kits are not taking away and should be handed over at the end of the session
* Charges for the Workshop are non-refundable, non-transferable and non-extendable
*We are not responsible for any software failing to run/install on the participant's laptop.
